Broding's Battery Warehouse

Broding's Battery has been serving the San Diego and Imperial Counties of Southern California since 1962. It started as a family owned business and still is today. Our continued success has been and is determined by the dedication and loyalty of our employees which have over 100 years of battery related experience and the strong relationships we have built with our customers over the years.

In the beginning, we started carrying automotive, heavy duty truck, and deep cycle batteries for boats and RV's. Over the years demand for other types of batteries has increased. Today you can find sealed lead acid batteries, gel cell batteries, AGM (absorbed glass mat) batteries, toy batteries, coin cell, lithium batteries, button top batteries, watch batteries, wheel chair and scooter batteries. Whatever your need or application is we have the correct batteries for you!

With California warehouses conveniently located in La Mesa and El Centro, serving all of San Diego and Imperial Counties, customers can be assured of quality products and service after the sale.

Meet our Staff

Gary Mac Isaac — President

Gary was new to the battery business when he started at Broding's Battery in July of 1986. Gary quickly got involved in sales and customer service.

Over the years Gary has realized that building relationships with vendors is important but taking the time to listen to customers and answer questions no matter how big or small is key. Feel free to contact Gary at any time!

Arthur Kaiser — Vice President

Art started his Battery Career, in 1967 at Broding's Battery. Art can honestly tell you he has seen a lot of changes in the Battery World. Even though much has changed, Art is still the dependable, reliable and knowledgeable employee.

His battery knowledge is second to no one. His desire to help the customer and get it right the first time is extremely important. No matter what your needs, Art is always available for the customer. Feel free to drop by and talk to Art about batteries or spend a few minutes discussing his latest Fishing or Camping trips.

Ethan Bordelon — Warehouse Manager

Ethan is the third generation of Broding's to continue the family business. After graduating from High School in 1994, Ethan started working at Broding's in the warehouse.

He manages the daily warehouse operations and the dispatching of drivers. Please feel to contact Ethan if you have any questions or comments about our wholesale delivery service.

David Dennis — Electrical Specialist

Dave started his employment at Broding's in 1991 and was responsible for the Rebuild Shop which included rebuilding of Alternators and Starters.

Dave expanded his expertise to repairing Battery Chargers and Testers plus locating replacement parts for those units. Dave is also involved in customer service and making sure the customer gets what they need in a timely fashion. Dave is always available to answer any questions regarding starters, alternators and batteries.

Sarah Sanchez — Customer Service Manger

Sarah began working in the battery business in 1995. She has established herself as a battery specialist.

Sarah always has time to listen to customers and answer any questions.

Cathy Broding — Chief Executive Officer

Cathy's Father, Harold, started Broding's Battery in 1962. During that period Cathy started doing the books for her Dad and 6 years later started working full time in the Battery Business.

Cathy has done it all and seen it all in her illustrious career in the battery business. Today Cathy serves as CEO and offers vast personal hands on experiences and knowledge to all the employees and customers of Broding's Battery.

As CEO, she oversees the daily operation but still takes time to talk to the customers and do whatever it takes to take care of the customer needs. Feel free to talk to Cathy about any of your battery concerns or just talk about how things have changed over the years.
